About The Tour

Atlantic 9-Ball Tour is the brain child of tour founder TJ Martin.  The tour began in the Fall of 2015 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Events have quickly grown to routinely host over 100 players per tournament.  The tour is known for generous payouts, with $1500 going to the winner of events.

In addition to monetary payouts for top finishers at each event, there are prizes for the highest placing individuals in multiple categories designed for all caliber of players.

The use of premium equipment, such as Pro Tour Aramith Balls, Simonis Cloth, and 9' Black Crown II tables, is also favored by the players.  The popularity of the tour lead to the opening of a contemporary and spacious new pool hall, Railbirds Billiards, the host club for all tour events, which sports 16 tables to accommodate the demand.

In Season 1 the tour hosted 6 tournaments, plus a year end Finale Event with over $10,000 added.  Almost 200 players, from all across Atlantic Canada, participated on tour!

Season 2 recorded higher number of participants with each event.  There were 8 regular events scheduled, each with $1600 added, and a Grand Finale in May 2017 with over $15,000 added.

Season 3 grew even bigger with $2000 added to each of 7 regular tour events, and a Grand Finale with over $15,000 added.

Additionally, the first East Coast Canadian 9-Ball Open was held in November 2017.  The promised $35,000 in money added attracted commitment of Pro Pool players from Canada, USA, England, and Finland, where the eventual winner Mika Immonen hails from.  The prospect to play alongside and against the best pool players in the sport had Atlantic Canadian cue enthusiasts lining up for this event, attracting a field of 232 players in total.

Of course, the tour would not be what it is without the support of the SponsorsThe Billiard Shop has been a title sponsor from day one.  Pechauer Custom Cues joined in Season 2 as a major sponsor. Plus there are many other companies and individuals who have supported the tour.  Sponsor logos can be found on our website.  Please visit their links and support their products and services.
